Who we are
allcaltools is a small, independent project that builds free online calculators. It started with a simple frustration: most calculator sites either bury the answer under a wall of ads, force a sign-up, or quietly assume you live in the United States and format every number in thousands and millions.
So we built the site we wanted to use. Every tool here loads fast, works on a phone, puts the number you came for above the fold, and lets you switch between Indian (₹, Lakh/Crore) and global ($, Thousand/Million) number formats with one click in the navigation bar. That preference then follows you across the whole site.
What we hold ourselves to
Four rules that decide what gets built — and what gets rejected.
Your data stays yours
Calculators run entirely in your browser. The salary, loan amount or health figure you type is never sent to our server, and we never store it.
Free, with no gate
No account, no email wall, no “unlock the full result” upsell. Every calculator is complete on the page you land on.
Built for India first
Lakh and Crore grouping, GST, CGPA, EMI and state electricity tariffs are first-class here — not an afterthought bolted onto a US calculator.
We show the working
Where a result depends on a formula, a slab or a multiplier, we say which one we used — so you can check it, or change it to match your own institution.
What we cover
Our calculators are grouped into eight areas. Each link below goes straight to that category’s most-used tool.
How a calculator gets built
1. We start from the formula, not the design
Before anything is styled, we pin down the actual method — the amortisation formula, the Mifflin–St Jeor equation, the RERC tariff slab, the university multiplier. If a figure is set by a regulator or an institution, we name the version we used and date it.
2. We check it against a known-good result
Every calculator is tested against worked examples from an authoritative source — a bank’s own EMI schedule, a published tariff order, a textbook example — before it goes live.
3. We keep the rates current
Tariffs, tax rates and gold prices move. Pages that depend on a rate that changes carry the date it was last reviewed, so you always know how fresh the number is.
4. We revisit it when the rules change
When a budget, a tariff order or a university’s grading policy changes, the affected calculators are updated. If you spot one that has fallen behind, tell us — that is the fastest way it gets fixed.
Where the money comes from — and what that means for you
allcaltools is funded by advertising and, on a few pages, affiliate links. If you buy something through an affiliate link we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Those pages say so on the page itself.
What that funding does not buy is a placement. Nobody pays to rank higher in our phone guides or to be recommended in a calculator’s result. If we cannot cover a product honestly, we leave it out rather than write around it.
Something wrong, missing, or worth adding?
A wrong result, an out-of-date rate, or a calculator you wish existed — we read every message, and reader reports are where most of our fixes come from.
